Before beginning his author’s journey, Michael spent years managing restaurants, where he developed an affinity for the hardworking, overlooked underdogs who bring a little magic to everyday life. Their spirit shapes the characters at the center of his debut novel, Brass & Sage, which he is currently revising.

When Michael is not deep in a novel draft, he writes short stories across fantasy and neighboring genres. If he’s not at his desk, he’s likely chasing his dog and daughter around the backyard, begging them both to stop putting gross things in their mouths.
